Nestled within the Bjelasica mountain range, pretty Biogradska Gora (袘懈芯谐褉邪写褋泻邪 袚芯褉邪) has as its heart 16 sq km of virgin woodland 鈥� one of Europe鈥檚 last three remaining primeval forests. If you鈥檙e knowledgable about such things, you鈥檒l be able to spot beech, fir, juniper, white ash, maple and elm trees. Many of the trees in the forest are over half a millennium old, with some soaring to 60m high.
